Bonsai Vault is an on-line resource site for bonsai enthusiasts of all levels. The "Vault" is filled with some of the best articles found on the web new and old. These articles range from design, technique, to bonsai horticulture. Also a section of the vault is dedicated to visual aids such as videos dealing with everything from the basics of wiring to carving Jins and Shari. We also felt the vault wouldn't be complete with out a gallery of trees. Finally we included a forum so that opinions, ideas, and questions can be shared about these topics.

I would like to personally thank you for paying a visit to Bonsai Vault. At the same time commend you for seeking out answers to questions that you may have about this fascinating art form.
The "Vault" came about as an idea during many conversations over the years. Be it in a casual conversation, on a forum, in a chat room, or at Shady Side Bonsai. Now this idea as finally has born fruit.
Enthusiasts were looking for consistent reliable answers to their questions that they could reference easily. All wanting to know one thing or another in regards to improving their trees.
So it was decided to make an archive of articles, and visual aids of techniques that have survived the test of time. Also to give a platform to new and up coming artists and authors to express their views in this constantly evolving art form. Quite simply put, to try and give answers and a reference point to return to easily time and time again.
A final note about this site. When this site was created. It was created not with the intention of replacing or competing with any of the great bonsai sites on the web. They all have a place and serve a purpose. Our mission at Bonsai Vault is to give you high quality, informed answers to your questions.
